General Notes to Teacher:
It is suggested that students work in groups of 3
or 4, but the method of choosing groups should be at the teacher's discretion.
If you feel that your students are able to choose their own groups then that is
up to you. The method of choosing the historical time periods from a hat will
ensure that all time periods are addressed in the student power point
presentations. However, this can be
varied to fit the needs of your specific course to give your students more
ownership
of the presentation.
Many of the resources cover more than what is
listed. It would be helpful to
review these sites and explain this to the students.
The majority of the work for the power point
presentation should be done in class to ensure the group has ample time to work
together and accomplish the task at hand. However, the students may wish to
split up some of the work and complete portions of it outside of class.
There are very generic guidelines for the
presentations, but you may choose to alter some to the requirements to fit your
specific class's needs. In addition, be sure to get a list of who did what for
the group presentation so everyone is accounted for.
